TalkSoup is an IRC client for GNUstep and Mac OS X. It is highly configurable and extensible with a fully-featured plugin system already in place. It has all the features one would expect from a graphical IRC client.
Netclasses is an asynchronous networking framework for GNUstep and Mac OS X. Has built-in support for line-based protocols, IRC, and raw TCP/IP streams. It can also be used for synchronous connections but this is -not- its primary use.
